Good afternoon Friends of Hillcrest (and especially those of you who are not yet friends of Hillcrest but have stumbled here…)

It is Holy week and I hope it will be a deeply meaningful week for your soul. It is the highest, holy week of the Christian Calendar and we have a few special activities to share with you.

Wednesday night, there will be no prayer service at 6pm and there will be no choir either.

Thursday Night at 7pm we will gather with our friends at First Baptist Church of Mobile at 7pm for their Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service.

On Friday Night at 6.30 we will gather in the Chapel at Hillcrest for a Good Friday Service.

Then, on Easter Sunday, we have several special activities.

At 8.30am we will gather at the cross in the church yard for a special, sunrise-ish service and we will decorate the cross with flowers.

Following the service outside, we will have a time of fellowship, snacks and coffee in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday School will happen at 9.30 and during that hour, the children will have a special Easter Egg Hunt.

Then, Worship will begin at 10.45 in the Chapel.

It is a special week and we hope you will join us for some or all of it.
